Pedro Ruiz’s new work, Beyond the Wall, began as a musing about barriers experienced by humans as a result of the juxtaposition of assets and restrictions imposed by a myriad of social, emotional, economic, political, psychological and cultural contexts.

The new walls of restriction for safety and survival, enforced during the current COVID-19 crisis, have created a new paradigm of separation (and togetherness), and an emergent space for dancers to explore and create work that demonstrates how dance can bring us together and take us Beyond the Wall.
